2025 FEALAC Young Leaders Program
The Philippine Embassy in Seoul encourages the next generation of Filipino leaders based in the Republic of Korea to participate in the 2025 FEALAC Young Leaders Program!
The FEALAC Young Leaders Program was initiated to elevate the visibility of FEALAC and cultivate public awareness on key regional issues in East Asia and Latin America. For 2025, the FEALAC Cyber Secretariat is targeting 24 participants from the FEALAC Member Countries who are currently residing or will be residing in Korea during the period of activity. Applicants should be an active social-media user with a high interest in international organizations and multilateral diplomacy.
The activities for the 2025 FEALAC Young Leaders Program from May to September 2025 includes:
- Covering international and public events organized by ROK MOFA and FEALAC;
- Online and offline activities to promote the visibility of FEALAC;
- Seminars on international relations, multilateral organizations and regional studies; and
- Creating social media content for mutual cultural exchanges as FEALAC supporters.
The application period is from 17 February to 23 March 2025, and candidates chosen for interview will be notified individually.

Visit the Philippines' Microsite on the United Nations Oceans Conference
MANILA 20 February 2025 - The Department of Foreign Affairs invites the public to visit our microsite on the United Nations Ocean Conference in support of Sustainable Development Goal 14 - Conserve and sustainably use the ocean, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. The microsite aims to contribute towards promoting a deeper understanding of the United Nations Ocean Conference, provide useful links and updates, and inform the Philippines’ engagement at the conference. This microsite also serves as a guide for governments, NGOs and individuals in making voluntary commitments towards the implementation of SDG 14. ADVISORY AND GUIDELINES ON THE CONSULAR OUTREACH IN MOKPO AND YEOSU
The Philippine Embassy wishes to inform the Filipino community that it will conduct a Consular Outreach on 20 February 2025 (07:00 PM to 10:00 PM) and 21 February 2025 (09:00 AM - 12:00 NN) in Mokpo at 325, Yeongsan-ro, Mokpo-si, Jeollanam-do, Republic of Korea; and on 21 February 2025 (06:00 PM to 09:00 PM) and 22 February 2025 (09:00 AM to 03:00 PM) in Yeosu at 866, Sinwol-ro, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do, Republic of Korea.
The following guidelines shall be observed:
- For passport-related transactions, appointment slots may be obtained at https://www.passport.gov.ph/ (choose and click under site "Mokpo" or “Yeosu”).
- For civil registry (Report of Birth, Report of Marriage, Report of Death, Marriage License/LCCM, Travel Document) and notarial transactions (Special Power of Attorney, Affidavit, Certification, Dual Citizenship, Certificate of Registration with the Embassy or Embassy ID), please bring the requirements which may be found at http://www.philembassy-seoul.com/consular.asp. All payments for Notarial Services and Civil Registry Transactions will be collected with expedite processing fees as they are rendered beyond regular hours and on the observance of the weekend of the Philippine Embassy per Department of Foreign Affairs Foreign Service Circular (FSC) No. 2024-0391 dated 03 May 2024

COLD WEATHER AND SNOW ADVISORY
Seoul, 7 February 2025 – The Philippine Embassy in Seoul advises all Filipino nationals in South Korea to take necessary precautions as the country experiences severe cold weather and snowfall in the coming days. According to local weather reports, temperatures are expected to drop significantly, with heavy snowfall and strong winds affecting several regions, including Seoul and surrounding provinces.
Precautionary Measures:
Dress Warmly: Wear layered clothing, gloves, hats, and scarves to protect against extreme cold.
Limit Outdoor Exposure: Minimize time spent outside, especially for children, the elderly, and individuals with health conditions.
Ensure Home Safety: Keep heating systems in good condition and use heating devices safely to prevent fire hazards.
Exercise Caution When Traveling: Roads and sidewalks may be slippery; avoid unnecessary travel and check weather updates before commuting.
Prepare for Emergencies: Keep flashlights, batteries, food, and water in case of power interruptions.
