Seoul, 7 February 2025 – The Philippine Embassy in Seoul advises all Filipino nationals in South Korea to take necessary precautions as the country experiences severe cold weather and snowfall in the coming days. According to local weather reports, temperatures are expected to drop significantly, with heavy snowfall and strong winds affecting several regions, including Seoul and surrounding provinces.

Precautionary Measures:

Dress Warmly: Wear layered clothing, gloves, hats, and scarves to protect against extreme cold.

Limit Outdoor Exposure: Minimize time spent outside, especially for children, the elderly, and individuals with health conditions.

Ensure Home Safety: Keep heating systems in good condition and use heating devices safely to prevent fire hazards.

Exercise Caution When Traveling: Roads and sidewalks may be slippery; avoid unnecessary travel and check weather updates before commuting.

Prepare for Emergencies: Keep flashlights, batteries, food, and water in case of power interruptions.
