Philippine Embassy Donates Traditional Attire to The Multiculture Museum
SEOUL, 3 March 2022 - Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega met today with Mr. Kim Yun Tae, Chairman of the Board of the Multiculture Museum to discuss potential projects for cultural exchange. The highlight of the meeting was the donation by the Embassy of a set of traditional Filipino attire – a Filipiniana gown and a piña barong – to be permanently displayed in the museum’s world costume exhibition. The exhibition showcases traditional attire donated by Embassies from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Central and South America. The Multiculture Museum likewise gave the Ambassador a plaque of appreciation and a modern Hanbok blazer.

Ambassador Dizon-De Vega thanked Chairman Kim for his offer and conveyed the Embassy’s willingness to revitalize the partnership with the museum through possible future projects, including a textile and weaving exhibition, a printmaking exhibition, and culinary promotion.
