SEOUL, 3 March 2022 - Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega met today with Mr. Kim Yun Tae, Chairman of the Board of the Multiculture Museum to discuss potential projects for cultural exchange. The highlight of the meeting was the donation by the Embassy of a set of traditional Filipino attire – a Filipiniana gown and a piña barong – to be permanently displayed in the museum’s world costume exhibition. The exhibition showcases traditional attire donated by Embassies from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Central and South America. The Multiculture Museum likewise gave the Ambassador a plaque of appreciation and a modern Hanbok blazer.

Chairman Kim expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Dizon-De Vega for the donation and offered the museum as a venue for forthcoming projects of the Embassy. Ambassador Dizon-De Vega thanked Chairman Kim for his offer and conveyed the Embassy’s willingness to revitalize the partnership with the museum through possible future projects, including a textile and weaving exhibition, a printmaking exhibition, and culinary promotion.

Joining Ambassador Dizon-De Vega at the event were Cultural Officer Anthony Cornista and Political-Economic section Assistant Vivienne Velasquez. END
