2024 VOLUNTARY DEPARTURE PROGRAM FOR FOREIGN RESIDENTS IN ILLEGAL STATUS IN SOUTH KOREA
The Embassy of the Philippines in Seoul informs the Filipino community in South Korea that the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) has recently announced a new special voluntary departure program for foreign nationals who no longer have any legal status to remain in Korea.
According to the MOJ, beginning 30 September 2024, foreign nationals illegally staying in South Korea who will voluntarily depart on or before 30 November 2024 will be granted a fine exemption and suspension of re-entry restrictions.

PROGRAMA PARA SA BOLUNTARYONG PAGLISAN NG MGA DAYUHAN SA SOUTH KOREA, 2024
Ipinaalam ng Embahada ng Republika ng Pilipinas sa Seoul sa mga Filipino sa South Korea na kamakailan ay inihayag ng Ministry of Justice (MOJ) ang boluntaryong programa sa pag-alis para sa mga dayuhang wala nang legal na katayuan na manatili sa Korea.
Ayon sa MOJ, ang mga dayuhang iligal na naninirahan sa South Korea na boluntaryong aalis simula sa Setyembre 30, 2024 hanggang 30 Nobyembre 2024 ay bibigyan ng: 1) "fine exemption" o hindi pagbabayarin ng multa; at 2) "suspension of re-entry restrictions" o hindi mailalagay sa listahan ng mga ipinagbabawal kailanman na makabalik sa South Korea sa loob ng nasabing programa.
Para sa higit pang mga detalye sa programa, maaaring tingnan ang nakalakip na impormasyong mula sa MOJ at tiyaking mabuti kung kayo ay kwalipikado o maaring mag-apply sa programa. Ang mga aplikante ay maaari ding makipag-ugnayan sa Immigration Contact Center sa 1345 (piliin ang Filipino sa mga wikang banyaga), o bisitahin ang website ng HiKorea (http://www.hikorea.go.kr) at Korea Immigration Service (http://www.immigration. go.kr).
Para sa pansariling kapakanan at kaligtasan, hinihikayat ng Embahada ang lahat na manatiling nasa wasto at legal ang kanilang katayuan, gayundin ang pasaporte at iba pang dokumento, habang nagtatrabaho o naninirahan sa labas ng ating bansa.
ADVISORY AND GUIDELINES ON THE CONSULAR OUTREACH IN CHANGWON
The Philippine Embassy wishes to inform the Filipino community that it will conduct a Consular Outreach in Changwon on 11 to 13 October 2024 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM) at the Yongji Cultural Park, Changwon, South Korea. The following guidelines shall be observed:
- For PHILHEALTH related transactions, please please bring the following requirements:
- For Pag-IBIG membership including registration for new and reactivated accounts, updating of membership records, and related queries or concerns, please bring a valid passport.
- For OWWA membership, please bring valid passport, contract and Alien Registration Card (original and photocopy) or send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for pre-evaluation of documents.
- For transactions related to Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) and other services of the Migrant Workers Office (MWO)-Seoul, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for pre-evaluation of documents.
- For civil registry (Report of Birth, Report of Marriage, Report of Death, Marriage License/LCCM, Travel Document) and notarial transactions (Special Power of Attorney, Affidavit, Certification, Dual Citizenship, Certificate of Registration with the Embassy or Embassy ID), please bring the requirements which may be found at http://www.philembassy-seoul.com/consular.asp. All payments for Notarial Services and Civil Registry Transactions will be collected with expedite processing fees as they are rendered beyond regular hours and on the observance of the weekend of the Philippine Embassy per Department of Foreign Affairs Foreign Service Circular (FSC) No. 2024-0391 dated 03 May 2024.
- For passport-related transactions, appointment slots may be obtained at https://www.passport.gov.ph/ (choose and click under site "Changwon Outreach").
- Registration: Properly filled-out PhilHealth Member Registration Form or PMRF (available at https://www.philhealth.gov.ph/downloads/) and valid passport or any valid ID;
- Updating of record: Properly filled-out PMRF;
- Additional dependent/s: Properly filled-out PMRF together with the following documents: Child (below 21 yrs. old) - birth certificate; Legal spouse - marriage contract; Parent (60 yrs. old and above) - senior citizen's ID and member's birth certificate;
- Printing of Member Data Record (MDR) and PhilHealth Identification card (PIC): Valid passport or any valid ID.
