JOB HIRING: PTIC - Trade Assistant

The Philippine Trade and Investment Center, an attached office of the Philippine Embassy in Seoul, is now accepting applications for the position of Trade Assistant. The detailed job description, required qualifications and skills for the position are enumerated as follows:

 TITLE: Trade Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assist Commercial Counselor in matters of trade and investment promotion and commercial policy.
• Prepare appropriate replies to written and phoned-in inquiries and communication from businessmen, companies and partner agencies, as well as those relating to trade policy, trade promotion and investments;
• Receive and respond to inquiries and requests of walk-in visitors;
• Disseminate to relevant companies and government agencies various informational materials on the Philippines as well as invitations to trade/investment related activities in the Philippines and Korea;
• Assist in coordinating the requirements of Philippine trade and investment missions, fairs, seminars, and visiting Filipino businessmen;
• Maintain and manage the office filing systems; and,
• Perform other duties as may be tasked by the Commercial Counselor consistent with the mandate of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Open to Filipino and Korean citizens who are of good moral character
• Must have at least a bachelor’s degree preferably a business-related course
• Must have excellent oral and written English (at least TOEFL)
• Must be proficient in the Korean language (at least TOPIK level 4)
• Must be computer literate
• Must be willing to work overtime

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to respond to a range of customer needs
• Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills
• A team player capable of working on their initiative and who is adaptable to changing priorities

• Strong organizational skills. Ability to organize time, work independently, coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure that deadlines are met and applications are processed in a timely manner
