On the Three COVID-19 Positive Filipinos in South Korea
02 April 2020 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Philippine Embassy in Seoul, confirms that three Filipino nationals have tested positive for COVID-19.
The first Filipino COVID-19 case was confirmed on 20 March 2020. The two new cases confirmed on 01 April 2020 are family members of the first Filipino COVID-19 patient and have been placed in quarantine and were tested twice for the disease, where their second test yielded positive results.
The Embassy is in close coordination with the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) and local health authorities, and stands ready to provide assistance to the COVID-19 positive Filipino nationals as needed. END
