EMERGENCY DISASTER RELIEF FUNDS FOR FOREIGN RESIDENTS IN SEOUL

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul wishes to inform the Filipino community in Seoul that the Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) has decided to include foreign residents in its emergency cash assistance payout scheme to help them cope with the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to SMG, foreign residents who meet the following requirements are eligible for the support:

1. If the head of the household is a holder of one of the following visas: D-1, D-3, D-5, D-10, E-1, E-10, F-2, F-4, F-5, G-1 (excluding G1-10), H-1, H-2

2. If the head of the household has been registered as living in Seoul for over 90 days since reporting their Alien Registration Card (as of 27 August), and has reported their residence (starting on or before 28 May).

3. If the total income of the household is less than the median income.

Online applications can be made from 31 August to 25 September 2020 through  http://fds.seoul.go.kr, or through 40 designated sites, including the Seoul Global Center and the Seoul Counseling Center for Migrant Women. On-site applications will proceed from 14-25 September at Gu offices throughout Seoul.
