SEOUL, 15 March 2022 — Philippine Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega appeared on "Diverse Voices," a radio show on English broadcaster TBS eFM (101.3MHz) last 10 March 2022 to discuss Philippines-Republic of Korea bilateral relations, in honor of both countries celebrating the 73rd anniversary of bilateral relations last 3 March 2022. The show is hosted by Filipino-Korean Ms. Jasmine Lee, the first migrant member of the Korean National Assembly and a multiculturalism advocate.

Diverse Voices is a radio show that covers a wide range of subjects, including multiculturalism, foreign residents, the economy, travel, and culture. Ambassador De Vega discussed the state of Philippines-Korea relations, travel to the Philippines, and her perspectives on the importance of inclusivity and multiculturalism.

Ambassador De Vega cited the close historic ties and shared sacrifices between the Philippines and Korea which form the bedrock of the strong and enduring relationship the Philippines and the Republic of Korea enjoy today.
The Ambassador likewise spoke on the vibrant people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and how this will hopefully will once again be maximized as we recover from the pandemic with renewed two-way mobility.
On tourism, Ambassador Dizon-De Vega shared the latest developments on the Philippines re-opening to foreign visitors including to Korean nationals. She invited listeners to consider the Philippines, in particular popular destinations such as Cebu, Boracay, Bohol, Palawan, Clark, among others, for their future travel plans.

Ambassador De Vega also invited listeners to some of the key events the Philippine Embassy will be celebrating from March to May, including the slate of activities in commemoration of Women’s Month, Know Your Rights and Responsibilities Legal Seminars, free online legal aid counselling, and the upcoming Philippine Overseas Absentee Voting from April to May 2022.

In celebration of PH-ROK’s 73rd anniversary of relations, Ambassador De Vega also provided Philippine dried mangoes and banana chips as giveaways for the listeners. END
